The Editing Tools Behind the Films at Sundance

The most interesting stat in this graph is the total dominance of DaVinci Resolve in the color grading, but none in editing despite BlackMagic Design’s emphasis on that particular feature in recent years.

I’m also surprised to see Unity coming in after After Effects for Animation / VR / VFX.

Overwatch League Player Profile for Intel Gaming

I finally realized my goal of making an eSports content with this Overwatch League player profile for Intel Gaming.

I delivered this profile video, plus one :30 and two :15 trailers that’ll appear on Overwatch League broadcast and social media sites. This project is edited on Adobe Premiere Pro and color graded on DaVinci Resolve 15.

Tales of Two Timelines #TimelineTuesday

By fortuitous circumstances, I happen to edit two different projects on two different editing programs, on two different operating systems over the month of July. Although many editors-including yours truly, likely to claim that our skill sets are not tied to a particular program or a platform, but the harsh truth is that the post production is heavily technical, and dependent on technical expertise even if only to edit faster.

An opportunity/experience like this lends only to a freelance editor like myself, I reckon, and offers fresh perspectives on post production workflows.
