How Animated Movies Are Edited (featuring Batman)

Editor Andy Young presents informative & hilarious takes on how he utilized Adobe Productions for Premiere Pro to edit the feature animation, Merry Little Batman. It’s a must-watch if you are an editor aspiring to edit animations like yours truly.

I’m little surprised that he didn’t mention other Adobe programs like Photoshop or After Effects, that are often cited as another strong consideration to edit in Premiere Pro, thanks to Dynamic Link.

However, his interview on editing Harley Quinn season 3 do mention them, so he may have left that out in this presentation to focus on the editing parts.

I'm on IMDB!

After years of indifference (& neglect), I’ve finally claimed my IMDB page. Yes!

I was aware of my credits on IMDB, but they were scattered on different pages because a) I never made my own page and b) I didn’t know how to claim & consolidate them into single IMDB page. It turns out that I need to sign up for IMDB Pro(!) and request through a webpage that looks like it’s from 2010s. Haha…

My credits were dispersed in 3 different pages, but they are consolidated into one page now after my requests went through. It was faster and less difficult than I expected, I must admit.

However, it’s still missing a few credits like my g & e work on Coming Down the Mountain, directed by James Ponsoldt. (I may tell my tales on that production after I retire from the industry. Haha…) And there’s unreleased / unannounced works that will never see the light of day but I digress.

Because I worked mainly in short forms and ads (aka sponsored content) until recently, I didn’t devote my time to pursue my own IMDB page. Since I made the conscious decision to pursue long form works, I needed one to prepare for future long form works, especially I aspire to work on scripted series or features in the future.

Now that it’s done, I’m filled with the similar feeling and excitement when I first saw my name on a big screen for the first feature film I worked on as a Production Assistant (This unfortunately fails to list me but I swear my name is in the credits, if you ever get to see it. Haha.) Hence, the reason for me to mark the occasion with this blog post.

Enjoy your weekend!

What I'm Watching | Jan - Feb 2024

It feels like 2024 started last week, but the calendar says we’re already in mid-February with a striking distance from the Valentine’s Day. Where did the time go?

Oh, right, these excellent TV shows kept me entertained for the last two months! Haha

This will be new monthly blog post series to share what I’ve been watching, with my thoughts/impressions.

First of all, I didn’t expect that there would be THREE series among these featuring Korean female characters, speaking Korean dialogues. That’s simply amazing to me.
