I decided to wait for version 2 (or version 3) before I sign up for the visions of Apple's spatial computing, even if the Sidecar option with Mac alone is worth $2k for me. Ha
Apple elevated device manufacturing into an art since early Mac days, and this one is no different. A sight to behold.
I came away impressed with Mark Zuckerberg in this interview, with his takes on AI, Metaverse, and AR/VR. (This interview almost made me forget that there wasn’t-there won’t be, John Carmack Unscripted Talk for Meta Connect 2023)
Like I always say, ignore Meta/Mark Zuckerberg at your own peril.
Here is Apple Vision Pro, the long-rumored Apple’s AR/VR headset.
To be released early 2023, it is priced at $3,499 (& spec-ed) for pro users, not average consumers like iPhones. But it’s signaling that this platform will be coming to the mass after all the kinks are worked out, with more apps developed for its platform/OS named visionOS. And it has to be a lot cheaper, like sub $1,000.
I’m ready to throw money at Apple to get this device, above other Macs announced today.
